I would say that in the last 8 months or so I had more of the "old man" popping up than I would like to see! But, to borrow a phrase from you, Me & God, we are working it out! I am pressing in! :) I CHOOSE to abide!

Mel! We would be LOST without joy-filled, faith-talking cheerleaders like you! I am sure what He says is more like "That's my Girl! Love to hear her go!" Don't change!

Sharon, Guuurrrll, let me just say that you NEVER have to apologize for long comments here! I am the queen of long comments! I figure that's why we all do this! We are hungry to share thoughts & life experiences in a way that will encourage & inspire ourselves and others...to me blogging is the kitchen table or front porch of yester year! It fills a much needed outlet to connect! & lift up! And sometimes even to be silly!

Thanks, Ya'll! For coming to my front porch! She Rose Uphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04468898873508947166noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6095275693450181441.post-47924782435753787432008-01-15T10:15:00.000-05:002008-01-15T10:15:00.000-05:00This past year has been a time of real "working it...This past year has been a time of real "working it out for me". It was a dark-dry place.
When those times come--my life shows it. Just like you talk about in your post.
I don't really know yet all of what I learned during the year. I know it was long and lonely as I longed for sight of His face. I missed Him but the longer I stood in the dark (not necessarily rebellion)the less I was capable on my own to get back.
RYC--during those time I was really afraid to touch His word in regard to posting about it. I would never want to speak a lie in regards to my relationship with Him. I think this is often done.
Now I have seen His face again as the darkness has lifted. It is beautiful! I am not a fluffy person although I have tried at times to give them what I thought they wanted to hear. That is not me.
I have to be who He called me to be. And if they decided that that is not for them--that is fine. Some do not come to blogdom looking for
the deep things of Him.And that is fine-as long as they are getting it somewhere.
That was really why I first started blogging. To find others who NEEDED to talk about Him. Who were compelled with something so strong on the inside that they just had to get it out. Not that they wanted a teaching ministry in blogdom--but that they wanted to work it out with others.
Thank you for your words. They are truth. Keep speaking.
I would say forgive me for the long comment-but I needed to get that out there. :)Sharon Brumfieldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04662853880018410132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6095275693450181441.post-88892710250406157762008-01-15T09:45:00.000-05:002008-01-15T09:45:00.000-05:00That's right! Very well said...our address has nothing do to with how often or how we choose to address our heavenly Father.

Every day, all day...at some point I am sure God must be thinking..."is she EVER going to STOP talking?", now I know he wouldn't because HE is God (and I am not), but man, I would. All day, every day...Melissa in Mel's Worldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13638983411456998183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6095275693450181441.post-21484543435299529782008-01-15T07:48:00.000-05:002008-01-15T07:48:00.000-05:00Amen dear sister. Your words reflect my heart as of late, my resolution at the New Year to do just that-abide in Him, with Him...if my actinos do not reflect peace and joy and a clam serenity, then one has to wonder if I am truly abiding. Of course we will always have our moments being the wretches that we are, but overall- I want to ask myself-do people see me abiding in Him. Thanks for this post. It touched my heart!luvmy4sonshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10261302721883036680noreply@blogger.com
