February - The Month of Love! And Another Give Away!

Well, Ya'll! It's time to announce a winner!

Linda of In - Nickers and Ink!

And also of Practically At Home.

I will be announcing March's Contest next week. And I can't wait!

I will say that there is a theme, and it's Easter, also known as Resurrection Sunday!

How's your Monday going? I hope it's going sweet.

But, if it's not, that's Ok, too! The day's not over yet.
Every minute is a fresh opportunity for a second chance.
I promised you a Give Away for the month of February,
and my weird personality could not post it,
until I had heard from both of the people from January's Give Away,
that they received theirs.
Don't ask, it doesn't even make sense to me! :)
It's just how my mind operates.
I finally determined that the one which went overseas arrived!
3 Cheers!
Now I can safely move forward, because all the January stuff is resolved! :)
Anywho! This month your choices are 1 of the 2 Random Tees listed above.
Because you KNOW I love corny humor! It's all me!
And they donate $1 of every purchase to Compassion International.
Or for you book lovers, the John Eldridge Wild at Heart book.
I highly recommend this book, even if you don't win.

So if you leave a comment, you are entered for this month.
1 person will be selected from the drawing!
The deadline is the 29th.
I will announce the winner on the 1st of March.
I can't wait to see who it will be.

I like knowing that God orders our steps,
and I pray that He gets just the right gift, to just the right person
at just the right time!
Sometimes, we have to roll the dice,
and when we do He can be trusted for the results!

Reminder for Why the Give Aways:
"But, while I came to blogging to give, it has truly given back to me.
I have been encouraged, laughed my head off,
sometimes choked-up, and learned; all these things and more.
You ladies who visit, and write your own blogs,
and share your inspiring and humorous thoughts
are such a blessing
and what you do,
does make a great difference!"

Yah! Count me in! Thank you so much for your generosity!

I didn't realize you already had the Blogging with a Purpose Award and I gave it to you too!!!

Oh, I would like to enter. I would pick the apple tshirt. So funny!

My husband read that book. I don't think he was that impressed. I think the thing is that it seems to put men in a box, but for a certain kind of man, I think it is probably good.

You are so kind.

Now i don't know about the clown t-shirt-reminds me of Poltergeist-but I love the apple one.
Good thing Eve is not still around today. Can you imagine how she would always feel like she should be apologizing? :)

God orders our steps? Don't I know it!!! If you have a chance, come read about my morning. God orders our steps, indeed!

And, yes! Please enter me for this drawing, too. *grin*

I agree about the giveaways, I am ready to do my second one but can't until I can confirm that the last winners have received their gifts!
Good for you spreading so much love around the blogosphere!
I do not want to be entered, I just came by to say hello!
Peace & Love!

What a cute idea!

Gee, the "My bad" shirt would really give a certain someone in my home a lot more ammo . . . when everything must be mommy's fault. ;-)

Maybe that's why God made moms to love chocolate, so we can be thick-skinned!

Rejoicing in Him,
Linda N

The John Eldrige book is so good. It is also good for small group studies. However if I win, I will take the Fact: Clowns Eat People Shirt. I think that is the funniest shirt ever. Did you see the Superbowl commericial with the kid that bought himself a clown? It cracked me up.

Notice, I got entered in the knick of time.

Leslie, I have a secret! I told my sons & my husband last week, that when we get to Heaven, I know we are all gonna be blown away & whatever, I know...but, right now, in my head, my desire is to have like at least a good 2 years worth of nothing but CHRISTMAS! Snow, fireplaces, cooking, baking, chosing and making & wrapping of presents...and of coure decorating...this is just loads of fun to me! ;) You are entered! Love you, too!

Tam, you got it, Girl! You are entered!

Mel, You are so sweet to think of me! It means alot no matter how many times! THANK YOU! And you are duly entered into the drawing!

Renee', You are welcome & you are in! I love these!

Carole, i love that idea for a book - group study! I have wanted to have like a book club, one day, when motherhood does not entail so much emotional energy...tell me there is hope for that! :) Lie if you must! :) P.S. I have to tell you something funny! I SAW that commercial (LOVED THAT GAME!) and thought of you & was going to mention it in a post or comment or something...well, life got in the way, I didn't post on the Game like I had wanted to...& then I KNEW I had seen something to mention to you & couldn't for the LIFE of me remember what it was...until you now remind me! LOL! You're in!

I can't wait to see who wins! Let you know Saturday! Thanks for playing with me!

Yes, I watched your blog for several days after the Big Game to see you would post. I think you wanted the Giants to win, and they did, but now I am not sure. Remember sports is also cookie dough material. You might have to start a blog just called cookie dough. Love you.

I am also waiting for a contest winner over seas (the Philippines) to get their prize before I post the next contest. Something else we have in common huh?! I had no clue I would have to fill out a whole separate customs form and the price was phenomenal but I count it as money well spent to spread God's word!

I won!?!

How fun is that? Thanks!

My teen daughters will be fighting me for that sassy shirt!

Blessings all,

What Does it Mean Anyway? "Free to Fly"...

Well, it's like this: Here are some of the Webster's Dictionary definitions of Free: a : having the legal and political rights of a citizen b : enjoying civil and political liberty c : enjoying political independence or freedom from outside domination d : enjoying personal freedom : not subject to the control or domination of another2 a : not determined by anything beyond its own nature or being : choosing or capable of choosing for itself...having a scope not restricted by qualification 7 a : not obstructed, restricted, or impeded ...Now, here are some of the Webster's Dictionary definitions of Fly:1 a : to move in or pass through the air with wings b : to move through the air or before the wind or through outer space c : to float, wave, or soar in the air ... a : to take flight ...6 : to work successfully ...Examples which apply from Websters: fly high : to be elated - fly in the face of or fly in the teeth of : to stand or act forthrightly or brazenly in defiance or contradiction of

What does this mean in my life? This means that in life we are meant to be free. While historically mankind has not always enjoyed the opportunity to fully appreciate what that means, we are so indescribably fortunate as to live in a time of the greatest spiritual, physical, financial and political freedom ever known. Freedom doesn't come cheap, nor does it come easy. But the best things in life don't come that way do they? As I write this I am struck by how this sounds like a political statement, and for me this is much more of a spiritual thing, but, same goes for that (political that is). Freedom doesn't come easy. And it's worth whatever fight you have to make to overcome in your life in order to live a life that succeeds. Now the questions is - what is success for you? What is your standard? In my mind what is needed is a definite target - because you can't hit and maintain a moving target. A stable, rock-solid, anchor with no variable, yet multi-faceted. Something pure, just and worthy. If you look at any web page of news you can see that our society is certainly lacking in this area. What a great time to live as a rebel! Nowadays to be a rebel, all you have to do is be willing to engage in the battle of life, while anchored to Christ!
